International First-year Students

Congratulations on your admission to the W. P. Carey School of Business and Arizona State University. To help you prepare for the first semester of your first year as an ASU student, please review the steps below.

International Student Enrollment Checklist

If you're planning to live on campus, the Priority Deadline for 2023-2024 on-campus housing is Monday, May 15, 2023. Click to start your application

Step One: Before You Can Enroll

If you have not yet done so, you must pay your Enrollment Deposit.
Submit your MMR (immunization) forms. ASU requires students to meet the Measles vaccine (MMR) immunization requirement before class registration.
Take the Math Placement Exam: You will not be able to register for courses without a math placement score.

After the above items are complete, your Academic Advisor will assist you with enrollment.

Step Two: SEVIS Check-In

During the mandatory SEVIS Check-In, you will learn about SEVIS registration, F-1/J-1 immigration compliance, enrollment and other essential matters to help you make a smooth transition to the U.S. and ASU.

Step Three: International Student Orientation

All new international students must attend New International Student Welcome at the Tempe campus where you will learn about university resources for international students, find out how to get involved on campus, and meet other ASU students from around the world.
