Course Override Requests
Prerequisite Course Overrides
You may request a prerequisite course override if you are having trouble enrolling in a class for which you have met the prerequisites listed in the schedule of classes. Requests should be made online in Advising SOS, and you will be notified via e-mail once the request has been processed.
Please note, you must meet the enrollment requirements and prerequisites listed on the schedule of classes in order to receive approval.
Summer Courses
If you are taking a prerequisite course away from ASU over the summer, you may request a prerequisite override for fall business courses that require that course through Advising SOS. Proof of enrollment of prerequisite(s) will be required at the time of the request. The summer course must be completed and final grades provided by August 1st.
Prerequisite overrides will not be given with courses taken away from ASU during the fall or spring semesters.
Capacity Override Requests
You may request a capacity override through Advising SOS because the section of the class you wish to enroll in has reached the enrollment limit (no available seats).
These overrides are available for courses in the following departments or areas of study:

- Business Administration (BUS)
- Computer Information Systems (CIS)
- Economics (ECN)
- Finance (FIN)
- Legal and Ethical Studies (LES)
- Management (MGT)
- Marketing (MKT)
- Real Estate (REA)
- Supply Chain Management (SCM)
- W. P. Carey (WPC)
