Overview

The W. P. Carey School of Business strives to develop strong student leaders who become ethical and impactful leaders in business. We encourage you to engage with the school and campus communities as early as possible and throughout your entire college experience. Leadership opportunities stress the importance of communication skills, develop teamwork and collaboration skills, offer opportunities for critical thinking, and enhance time management and prioritization skills — skills that are consistently sought by employers.

W. P. Carey student leaders are diverse in their engagement and skillsets, and there are ways to get involved that match your particular goals and interests:

  • Join student organizations focused on everything from your discipline to service to student recruitment
  • Support the transition to college through facilitating WPC 101, serving as a mentor, reaching out as a success coach, or working as a paraprofessional in the residence halls
  • Use your academic skills to help others through tutoring positions

In addition to the opportunities above, there are numerous ways to stay involved in the business school and at ASU throughout the academic year, and even during the summer.
