Carey, there are a number of ways for you to find experiences that are right for you while getting the help you need along the way to stand out and ensure you are successful.

Academic credit for internships
Students who wish to earn academic credit for an internship can do so through many different departments at W. P. Carey. We recommend speaking with your academic advisor to determine the best fit for your situation.
Students who wish to enroll in an internship course are responsible for obtaining their internship, gaining approval for the internship with the appropriate department, and completing the needed paperwork.
AGB 484 Internship
AGB 484 is available to students with an internship in agribusiness or related field. To see if an internship qualifies for AGB 484 credit, contact the department internship coordinator, Dana Hansen, at [email protected].
CIS 484 Internship
CIS 484 is available to business data analytics and computer information systems students with an internship in the information systems field. To see if an internship qualifies for CIS 484 credit, contact the department internship coordinator at [email protected].
ECN 484 Internship
ECN 484 is available to students with an internship with a substantial economics component, completion of ECN 312 and 313, a 3.0 GPA in economics coursework and overall. ENT 484 Internship
ENT 484 is available to business entrepreneurship, management, or entrepreneurship and innovation certificate students that have completed at least two management or entrepreneurship courses offered by the Dept. of MGT & ENT prior to beginning the internship experience The internship must be an entrepreneurship-related area, that is, it must involve responsibilities to be performed or skills to be gained that will later be used by you in opening your own business. FIN 484 Internship
FIN 484 is available to juniors and seniors majoring in finance, accounting and/or economics. To be eligible for course enrollment you must have completed FIN 302 or 303 and one of the following: FIN 331, ACC 340, any ECN 300- or 400-level courses. MGT 484 Internship
MGT 484 is available only to management and business entrepreneurship juniors and seniors who have completed at least two MGT courses offered by the Management Department before the internship experience and have a 3.0 GPA overall. Click here for more information.
MKT 484 Internship
MKT 484 is available to students with an internship in marketing or related field. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have completed MKT 300, 302, or 303 with a B or better. Click here for more information.
