Scholarship Frequently Asked Questions

Facts for students

Are there scholarships available for transfer students?

Yes. Students transferring from another college may submit a scholarship application to the W. P. Carey School of Business General Scholarship. Other scholarship opportunities are available for transfer students. We recommend reviewing the criteria for each available scholarship as the criteria will state if incoming transfer students may apply.

Can receiving a scholarship affect my other financial aid awards?

We recommend following up with the Financial Aid and Scholarship Services Office if a scholarship you have been offered will impact any aid received. In general, all aid awarded cannot exceed the student’s Cost of Attendance COA). To learn more you COA, please visit: https://tuition.asu.edu/cost.

Do I need to be enrolled full-time to receive a scholarship?

Most scholarship opportunities require a student to be enrolled full-time. However, some circumstances may be taken into consideration. Contact the W. P. Carey School of Business Scholarship team for further questions.

I need a Letter of Recommendation. Who should I ask for one?

A letter of recommendation comes from a professional source that highlights your attributes and positive qualities you have. Why the person believes you would be an excellent recipient of the scholarship. The person chosen should be someone who knows you and can attest to your skills and abilities. This can be your work supervisor, a professor, academic advisor or staff member at ASU.
